From the Presidents Desk..

Hello Everyone

The 2001 ATV Raffle is over.  The winner this year was Jim Brokins from Voorhees, New Jersey.  The winning ticket was sold by Terry Vance from Newark Delaware.  Congratulations to Jim and many thanks to Terry for selling the ticket.  At the Board of Directors meetings we have been discussing plans for another raffle next year.  We’re working on what ATV to raffle and what the theme will be.

For those of you who travel Rt. 309 in Coopersburg, check out the progress of the new dealership building for Club Dealer member Scott PowerSports and Link Cycle Service.  “Links” was a co-sponsor for this years raffle.

The winter ride season is just about here.  The State and National Forest Trails will be opening shortly and will remain open (weather permitting) until April.  Hopefully you'll get a chance to get out and ride with us on one of the planned trips.  Check out the club calendar for details.  Remember you and your ATV will use more fuel in the cold weather so be sure to prepare for both.

In March of 2002 we'll be electing many new club officers.  Some of you have expressed an interest in participating in the decision making process for our club.  We always consider very carefully the inputs and opinions offered and have often implemented changes based upon new ideas.  Have you thought about jumping in and running for an elected position ?  If you are interested in running for a position, let us know.  Whether or not you would like to run in the election, we still welcome your ideas.

Hopefully by the time you read this we will have our newly redesigned webpage up and running.  For those of you with Internet access, check it out.  The address is www.lvatv.org  Tell us what you like, what you don't like and what we've missed.  Do you have some ride pictures or stories for us ?  We can use them for the webpage and the newsletter.    Did you buy a new ATV this year, or a new accessory ?  We could use your product reviews for those as well.  Don't be bashful, jot down your thoughts and send them in.

There are many new ATV models coming out soon and many more have just been introduced.  Be sure to stop by your local club dealer and see what they have.  Maybe you'll head home with a new one !!

Ride safely and tread lightly..      See ya on the trail..

Jim
